1000 Places to See Before You Die Developers
Here’s another cool free for a limited time app on the Apple App Store: 1000 Places to See Before You Die. It’s based on the book by Patricia Schultz with the same title.
World Map
It has a world map filled with markers and photo thumbnails for the different places to go to. Click on a thumbnail to view informant about the destination or hold the photo and you’ll be able to mark it with “I’ve been there” or “I want to go there”.
Information about each place
Places I've Been
Once you’ve been able to mark the places, you can now see them in the filter above. It groups the destinations by region for easy browsing.
Places I Want to Go
The markers on the map have counters for how many places you want to visit in a specific region.
Profile page with world map
There’s also a profile page where you can connect with your friends who also use the application. It also has a map where you can see how many places you’ve marked.
Category Filter
When searching for places, you can always use the Region and Category filters to further trim down the places you want to find.
Photo Wall
Another feature is the photo wall where you can just scan through different photos and click on each to view the information about the destination. You can also mark the photo as “been here” or “want to go”.
I’d recommend this application for those who have an iPad and loves to travel. This could help you plan out where you want to go. Saves time with searching through the internet. It has 1000 places! Don’t think you’ll run out of choices that fast.
