I personally haven’t driven very much due to the fact that my father doesn’t trust me so much behind the wheel but I do enjoy road trips every now and then.
During our trip to Hawaii, we went ahead and rented a car for the duration of our stay to have that freedom to choose where to go, when to go and where to stop and when to stop. Travelling with a tour can sometimes be restraining because you have to follow a certain schedule set for the whole group. Driving by yourself, however, can give your more freedom.
When driving around, you get to stop wherever you like and whatever you see along the road that interests you will somehow give you something breathtaking.
Or perhaps, mouthwatering?
Driving along the road and exploring the different shops, sights, homes, creatures, or whatever it may be will always bring you to new realizations and new experiences. After all, that’s one of the reasons why people travel right? To learn, see or observe something new, while having fun.
Although it can be a bit stressful to drive long hours everyday, find a driving partner and switch places. You rest, while your friend drives.
Don’t be afraid to rent a car and plan your trip yourself. Be a bit more spontaneous and just enjoy the vacation.
