Well, it’s not exactly New Year’s Day anymore, but today is the Lunar New Year, so why not take advantage of the occasion and start plotting out my travel plans for the year-when-the-world-will-end!
Ha, I’m just kidding. I don’t believe the world will end so soon.
To be honest, I don’t really have definite plans for the whole year just yet. However, the first half of the year might be filled with some short vacations with friends and family.
February
The annual hot air balloon festival at Clark, Pampanga is happening on February 9-12 and it’s an event I’ve always wanted to go to but haven’t gotten the chance to.
I won’t be riding in a hot air balloon though. I’ll just stay down on the ground and watch the balloons take off as the sun rises. It might not be the ‘hot air balloon experience’ but I’m sure it’s a wonderful scene altogether.
April
Summer vacation for students here in the Philippines, but for me, I think I’ll probably be working in an IT company by this time, saving up money for future travel plans.
But that doesn’t stop my father from planning a family trip to China, and possibly Taiwan. Though this is still a temporary plan.
Other plans
There is still more than 6 months for me to go and travel around but mostly, I’ll just be scavenging some restaurants locally and some short trips here and there due to the numerous holidays offered this year.
Christmas will most likely be spent overseas as well. It’s been a tradition for our family to actually spend Christmas abroad instead of here in the Philippines.
There’s also that graduation trip that my high school friends and I haven’t planned due to their busy schedules for their last semester in college. I’ll just have to wait until they’re finished with their thesis so I can bug them on where we could go.
As you can see, I’m not well stacked with travel plans for 2012 yet, mainly because I don’t have the personal funds to spend yet. I’ll work on that soon.
